Bio
Retired Have a 2003 Winnebago RV, go to Texas for the winter, I fish, and just started bird watching. This "Blog" is mainly for my own records, but anyone and everyone is free to look at and comment on the content. I so far have updated it daily and intend to keep doing so, update usually happens about sundown.
I’m new to this “Blogging”, what I am trying to accomplish is a daily record of “Bird” activity at “Home” and where ever I may be located. This combined with my observation of weather with my own rain gauge, in/outdoor thermometer, (Atomic from SAM's), and guessing at wind and other things. Will also use “Weather. Com” for some verifying, as I usually have internet available.
Recording this information along with pictures (when available) is done with a 18.4 “ Toshiba laptop, and Sprint Overdrive internet connection. Pictures are taken with a Canon Power Shot S5, 12X zoom, and edited with Picasa 3 or Adobe Photo Elements 9, on the Toshiba laptop computer. Oh by the way I'll post a picture later, but I have a Extra Large “Big Mans” Lazy Boy, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, all this viewed on a Westinghouse 40” LCD HDTV Flat Screen.
The computer set up was one of the best things I ever did. Choice was to replace 27” Tube with a flat screen, remove the big TV Stand, buy a new computer desk, with a 24 to 30 in flat screen monitor. Well cost became a factor, and while shopping at Costco, I saw this TV, 40”, and the price was OK. Then I priced computer monitors, by the time I went back to double heck the TV price, it dropped $30. Next after checking out “Epinions. Com” and the Westinghouse site I returned to Costco, and they dropped the price again, there were only two left, and the price was $115 dollars less then when first looked at a week before. (Total Price of 40” was less than a 30” computer Monitor. The rest is History!
