Bio
A few years ago, my family and I (now 53) decided to settle down in the Northeastern region of Thailand, called Isaan, and to keep away, as much as possible, from the so-called benefits of ‘globalization’. It is from a remote village where we lived, that I wrote an essay titled "About everything and nothing”. This essay is a compilation of various thoughts on today’s society and the one that may take over.
I was not always a writer, even though my previous job required a lot of writing, albeit of a totally different nature. As an auditor, I was writing about the financial situation of the companies I audited. A rather different kind of subject, to say the least.
I chose Thailand because, like many others, I was, and still am, convinced that Europe was in rapid decline, while South East Asia had a more promising future.
Having quite a lot of free time in my farm, I undertook to complete my education and was amazed to discover how little I knew. Reading from authors such as Jared Diamond, James Lovelock, Fritz Schumacher, or Paul Davies, opened my eyes to a whole new world.
This sort of transformation kept me away from my family and former friends, who had some trouble to understand my new way of thinking.
I haven't found a publisher for my essay, but I could rather easily publish it in the form of an e-book.
Yet, since my objective is not to make money out of it, but only to "spread the word", I have decided to go another way and make it available, for free, in my blog.
Thus, I will regularly post new pages, accessible to readers through 'Excerpts from my book', on the right side of the blog.
In return, I expect many comments from you...
