Bio
Hi, my name is Norma and I am a wife to one awesome dude, mother to three teenage boys who haven't quite earned the awesome title yet....they are work in progress :) We are an active family in our local church, we love to hike, wakeboard and snowboard together.
Before kids, I worked as an interior decorator helping people beautify their homes. I am a lover of design, budget finds, coupons, sales, sushi and DIY projects I can do on my own. I am also a Zumba fitness instructor, come from a restaurant family, and have had the best chef in the whole world (my mama) teach me to cook.
I've loved decorating and design all my life. I used to rearrange my room constantly when I was a kid. Living with a general contractor as a husband, together, we have remodeled the homes we've lived in during our 25 year marriage. The economy has hit us pretty hard here in So. California the past 5 years and we've needed to really tighten the belt on spending and our home improvements have really halted. However, I still find a way to beautify things around my home by being thrifty and with hands on craftiness.
I can give you a Pottery Barn room for a fraction of the price. I will show you how to achieve this with tips and tricks of the trade in my blog. If you aren't afraid of using a little elbow grease, and your own hands, I will show you how to benefit the savings of doing it yourself.
