Hardwired for relationships. That's us! And we believe that's you too! Relationships are challenging no matter what social status we hold. Marriage is a complex and challenging commitment. To be single also harbors complex emotions. In either circumstance, without the relationships of unity we were designed to enjoy, life is lonely. We thought marriage would be fun and exciting, and in many ways it was. However, without the depth of meaning and value, the fun didn't replace the loneliness that remained at the core! Neither did we anticipate the insensitivity, frustration, legalism and quite simply, the self-colored glasses, which kept us from experiencing unity as God designed. At times working through our relationship was overwhelming. Definitely discouraging. Until God gave us a perspective of Himself. Our Triune, passionate, and relational God. As we pursued one another, and God's view on relationships, the viewpoint He gave us, brought us together into unity, even sexual unity we could never have imagined. How I wish I'd understood this perspective on relationships BEFORE we'd married! I would have approached marriage differently. I would have valued relationships differently, and established more reasonable communication patterns and expectations. Would we have married? Probably. But if not, we would have been equipped to embrace relationships passionately as God designed. Our loving God created us, like Himself, in relationships. Without relationships, we're lonely, and striving in relationships becomes intense. Whether married or single, each of us lives with the complex emotions of relationships robbed of unity and understanding. God wants us to enjoy one another as we pursue relationships in the way He designed.
