Bio
I currently teach in the Africa section of the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at SOAS University of London. I previously taught in the Department of English at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA and in the School of Visual and Performing Arts and the Department of English at Kwara State University, Malete. I completed my PhD in the Department of African Languages and Literature at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 2014, and I have previously headed up the Hausa Home Video Resource Centre in the Department of Mass Communications, Bayero University, in Kano, Nigeria.
