Who is Case Max?
I design and create art under the name Case Max which is my established alias. My real name is Casey Max Campbell and I've been producing art for over 20 years. As a young child (from age 3-10) I had a passion for drawing monsters, dragons, lizard-men, skulls, and spooky trees (not much has changed.) During middle school years (age 11 and 12) I was very obsessed with what is now referred to as Anime (Japanese animation.) All I drew was extremely detailed Anime characters with immense shading techniques, very clean inking, and an overall "crystallized look." Frankly, art felt very unchallenging and many students would constantly hound me about how "amazing" and "unbelievable" my drawings were. I thought of my drawings as nothing particularly special and though they might have appeared impressive, masters in Japan were drawing far superior characters (only 27-30 frames of them for 1 second of film time!) Everything changed in 8th grade when I discovered graffiti. It was an art form that was both intriguing and unfamiliar. I was instantly hooked and became a graff writer for the next 8 years of my life. In late 2004, I finally decided to stop writing graffiti, as it seemed that it wasn’t getting me anywhere in life. For the next 2 years, I sadly took a long break from art altogether and focused on studio engineer work and producing Hiphop beats. During this time, I took classes at Erwin Technical Institution. I majored in drafting and architecture which derived from the AutoCAD course. I graduated Erwin Tech in 2007 and I am currently taking various Graphic Design classes (Learey Tech Center, St. Pete College, HCC.) I engage in a wide variety of freelance work and I am currently available for any artistic and design needs.
