Bio
"Catherine is a rare gem in the publishing industry."
I am a freelance writer, editor, writing coach, and publishing consultant with PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION IN EDITING from UC Berkeley. I am also the lead editor and founder of Wordsage, established in 2005. With almost 25 years working in writing-related fields, I have worked as an editor, writer, publishing consultant, writing coach, literary agent, book publicist, graphic designer, and marketing manager, including positions held at Random House and Yoga Journal. My well-rounded publishing background has helped me cultivate a thoughtful understanding of the needs of my clients--whether they are authors or publishers or organizations. I have a proven track record as a detailed and thorough project manager, coordinating the creation of several websites and self-published books, and am told that my clients appreciate my insightful and passionate contribution to their work.
I hold a BA in English from UC Berkeley and am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, Bay Area Editors' Forum, and ACES. In addition, I am also a hospice volunteer involved in helping the bereaved through grieving. Although based in the SF Bay Area, I work with clients all over the world.
