Bio
Opeyemi is a conventionally trained family physician, who burst out of the limitations of that identity, back in 2005. Now she considers herself "feral" and is passionately committed to shifting our attitudes about health, healing, Art, Spirit, personal politics, and self empowerment.
Opeyemi graduated from Mount Holyoke college with a major in biochemistry and thesis level work in cultural anthropology. After graduating from George Washington University, she practiced full service "cradle to grave" family medicine in Ohio, rural Illinois, and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Opeyemi kept an openness to diversity of cultures and alternatives in healing, throughout that twenty year journey. She parented in an "intentional family" of 7 adults and 4 children, raising four children. Two (born in '84 and '88) are biologically Opeyemi's. Two (born in '88 and '91) are "children of the heart"
From this eclectic life experience, Opeyemi seeks to serve her communities and tribes as a healer and healing artist.
