Bio
Writing is now my main occupation. Before this, my working life as a chartered psychologist left little time.
As a reader, I lose interest if the characters don't convince as being fully alive. Therefore, my writing is always character led. I enjoy being in the heads of men, women and children. I suppose this comes of all my past work.
This website won't feature my pet chameleon, favourite coffee shop, or plates of beautifully cooked food that I whipped up effortlessly between chapters. It won't discuss religion or politics.
It may include anything else, especially work I've admired or come across serendipitously. I am a strong believer in cross-fertilisation within subjects and within the arts. It often leads to excitement. I hope to bring blog readers' attention to what I find.
Above all, I will discuss the process of writing including reading fiction, reading about writing, and reviewing anything that bears a relationship to fiction, and most things do.
Blogging brings the joy of interacting with interesting people internationally.
