Bio
Charney Magri is an international, award-winning commercial Photographer, Director and published Author currently working between London, Paris and Dubai.
Charney is one of the most sought after artists renowned for her ability to create a moment in its entirety with impeccable talent, vibrant energy and the ability to transform any brief into a masterpiece. Her proof as a true artist; the ability to immerse and connect within any culture be it luxury or the less fortunate.
Charney’s attention to detail, use of electric colour, more is less approach and unique sense of humour all combine to extract the exact emotion to engage her audience.
Coupled with her hunger for knowledge Charney’s driving force has seen her work alongside some of the most influential names in the industry; British Vogue and Nick Knight to name but two.
Charney’s long-standing interest in the notion of beauty and women empowerment lead her to Africa in 2007 to shoot her exhibition Women of Africa. In 2012 Charney launched her first book titled Women of the UAE, which is now being used by both the Australian Embassy and the UNWomen Abu Dhabi as state gifts as well as being sold by all major bookstores across the UAE. This saw Charney speak publicly at some of the most influential events across the Middle East such as the Emirates Literature Festival, Dubai TV and the US Chapter Elevate.
In March 2016 Charney will commence her first workshop in partnership with Nikon ME (for more details stay tuned on her social media pages).
