Hello and please visit my travel site. If it’s your first time here then welcome, bienvenue, bienvenidos, huānyíng, khush amdeed, wilkommen!
My goal for this blog is to share the resources, knowledge and experiences I’ve collected on my travels. To give depth to your travels and to make your trips more unique to you. Travel can be a minefield these days with so much online clutter. So if you’re looking for adventures, lessons to consider, links to experiences from legit providers of joy, or just some ideas and inspiration of where to start, then please explore my site.
I’ve been a tour guide for the past 7 years and I’m always passing on my destination knowledge to friends. So why not share it here. Taking groups around Europe and digging deep into the stories, cultures and histories that this continent is known and lesser-known for has been an educating experience. I never enjoyed history at school, but the more I read and learn as a grown-up, the more I understand that there is a huge under-representation of stories that are interwoven in our destinations.
When I’m not travelling the globe, I’m reading about it, writing about it and dreaming about the next trip. I’m currently based in London. I see this as my corner of the world that is always open for some sort of exploration.
Saving the money and booking the flight are the difficult bits. The escapism and the psychological benefits that come with it, are the reward.
I’ve been travelling for over ten years, often solo. Currently, my country count is 60, I’m not done yet. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is the more you educate yourself, the more understanding you have of different cultures, and the more the world will welcome you, with open arms.
