Chicago Stage Standard covers the great work being done in theater, dance, music, and film in the Midwest, and across the country. Our writers are professionals who have worked - or are still working - in the field, writing about what they know. We aspire to provide arts coverage by arts people, representing theater for the 99%.
We are looking for writers with arts experience interested in writing reviews, features, and interviews. Please send a note of interest with a writing sample and resume to [email protected] and put Critic in the subject line.
We are always looking for events to cover. Please make certain you add us to your media list, so we can help promote your work. If cannot review the show, we can provide coverage on our Facebook page or blog.
As the blog grows, we will be looking for more items – even if a press release has not been written about them. If you have a cultural tidbit you think is worth noting – whether you have a press release or not – please send it our way with Blog in the subject line. This could include film or theater news, company development, casting news, or anything that would fall into the big net of our coverage.
