Bio
I'm a Swedish-American mom, a teacher, a writer, a patriot and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, living in Utah. I taught English at Utah Valley University for two years, taught third grade at Renaissance Academy in Lehi and at Odyssey Charter School in American Fork, taught high school English and Drama for five years at Colton High School in Colton, California; and I wrote grants for a year for a consortium of charter schools in Utah County. I've written for newspapers, including Provo's Daily Herald, The Deseret News, Heber City's Wasatch Wave, and others. I currently teach "Little Red Schoolhouse" and "I Love My English Class" at George Mueller Academy, an independent learning co-op. I also teach English II (tenth grade English) online at Freedom Project Education. My B.A. is in English (BYU, 1987) and my M.A. is in Communications (BYU, 2009). I also earned a California K-12 Teaching Credential at California State University at San Bernardino.
