Bio
From a very young age, I have been involved in photography documenting what I see. In the 1st grade, my first camera was a 110, no focus and cube flash connected to the top. Some of the worst pictures you could imagine; however, they were my creations. As I matured, one of my most important thoughts when on vacations or trips, was to document the sights with pictures, so that I could reflect back on the experience. Back then, there was no digital photography or phones to take a pictures, there was film. The larger the format, the better the end product would be. You also had to make sure to get the winning pic in one or two shots, or else burn a roll of film to get one perfect shot. I was not aware at the time that I was learning composition, balance and unity in my images, but simply that I wanted a quality image. Through the years I slowed down taking pictures, due to life getting in the way, but now the desire has been reborn, and I walk down the street, thinking, that could be a good picture right there. I get up early in the morning to catch a beautiful sunrise, or the morning fog on the water. Driving down the road I no longer see what is out there, but see the world as images thinking, is it worth putting in a frame. As we grow older, we seem to grasp the beauty around us and cherish that moment in time. As I contemplate the time, when I am pushed out to pasture and retire, I will be needing something to keep me active and challenge me mentally. I hope that you find my expressions in the craft of photography as enjoyable, as much as I had the pleasure in capturing them.
