Bio
My name is CJ Cornell.Over the past 20 years I have worn many hats: Serial Entrepreneur. University Professor. Software Engineer. Media Executive. Venture Capitalist. Researcher. Marketer. Advisor. Mentor. Author and Speaker.
I’ve founded or co-founded nearly a dozen companies in software, digital media and television. Some were painful failures, while others ended up having notable success with millions of customers – with revenues, funding and exits totaling over $3 Billion.
For the past few years I’ve been Co-Director of the Knight Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship and Professor of Digital Media & Entrepreneurship at Arizona State University, and the university’s first full time Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
These days I am taking a hiatus from academics to focus on writing, speaking, consulting and research in digital media and entrepreneurship – as well as helping a few promising start-up ventures become the next Apple, Google or Facebook.
