I love to write stories for and about my grandchildren (8) and step grandchildren(3).. I have written 10 stories thus far and not done as yet!
I was inspired to write this book when my 3 year old grandson, Kieran, moved far away to Prince Edward Island. He is my eldest grandchild and I missed him so much. This was one way to connect to him as phone calls were not really engaging for a 3 year old!
I worked in the educational system (K-3) for 20 years as an educational assistant. I implemented programs for challenged readers and non-readers, with a great deal of success. I often thought, "I can leave this world knowing I have taught many children to read. My life has been worthy!"
I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where I enjoy quick access to the mountains, my two grandchildren who live here, and only 3 hours from Edmonton where my other grandchildren live. However, not so close in miles to the 2 in Prince Edward Island!
