Bio
I am not what you might consider a "typical" fitness coach. I haven't been raised in a family of athletes or played on team after team or even been interested in fitness at all until the tender age of 30 and even then it was a matter of self-preservation , not self-improvement.
Why does this matter? Because I know first-hand what it takes to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles and fly in the face of those who doubt.
I know having spent the past 30 years in pursuit of well-being that a body's needs change just as a person's goals change.
I have learned that too many people short-change themselves by believing they are severely limited by something outside their control, without recognizing and wielding the tremendous strength and power that lies within.
Desire, passion, enthusiasm, determination, consistency - these are the tools with which we succeed. This belief identifies me pretty well, I'd say.
When I was an addict and alcoholic, quite literally tearing my body down each day, I was given 6 months to live...more than 30 years clean and sober I am able to look back at that day and at the person I had been and realize that I am limited only by my perception (or mis-perception to coin a word) of my options and possibilities.
My philosophy of well-being is this:
Be Aware (A) of how your body moves throughout your day
Maintain Balance (B) in diet, exercise, work, rest, and relaxation,
Commit (C) to doing those those things which will promote a healthy and capable life
The ABCs of my philosophy, my business, and how I strive to live my life.
