Bio
Colin Twiggs is an investment manager and former investment banker. Author of the popular Trading Diary newsletter, with more than 140,000 subscribers, his specialty is blending fundamental analysis of the economy with technical analysis of stocks, markets, commodities and currencies. Focusing on the role of the Fed and banking credit as primary drivers of the economic cycle, Colin warned of the coming bear market almost a year ahead ahead of 2008 crash.
Born in Durban, South Africa in 1958, Colin qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG before joining trust company Metboard and international investment bank Investec. After an interesting career in a variety of trading and operational roles he moved to Australia in 1998 to concentrate full-time on trading and investing. Colin founded Incredible Charts in Australia and the Trading Diary newsletter in 2001.
Colin, his wife Gaye and four children live in SE Queensland. A keen golfer, he is also involved in surf lifesaving and competes in open water swimming events.
