Bio
Phyllis A. Roestenberg is a trained mediator and graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. A licensed attorney for more than 16 years, her broad range of experience includes tenure as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division in a State Attorney General's Office and Senior Staff Attorney in the housing unit of a non-profit law firm. In 2008 she was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution to the Courts Award" by the Arizona Supreme Court for "serving the public and improving the legal profession." She is certified to practice before the U.S. District Courts in Colorado and Arizona and both the Ninth and Tenth Circuits. Her work has been published in the Colorado Lawyer, Cornerstone and The Preventive Law Journal, among others. Through the Law and Mediation Office of Phyllis A. Roestenberg, she provides representation, training, consultation and mediation services in landlord-tenant and civil rights (discrimination) matters.
