Bio
Hi, I'm Yolande and I'm a Singaporean living in Frankfurt with my British husband and two beautiful children. My husband and I got married in Singapore and England. We've lived in Japan, Singapore, the UK and now Germany.
Both our kids were born in Frankfurt and are currently attending the State's public Kindergarten. While my husband and I attempt to master the German language (he's a lot better at it than I am!), both my kids' language abilities surpass ours.
I'm hoping this blog will be insightful for families like ours raising Third Culture Kids in Germany. Ever since having two kids in a foreign land where neither of us speak the language fluently nor have family nearby, life has been a roller coaster ride. That, one may say, is one of the downsides of being an expat family. However, we try our best to cope with less than ideal situations and laugh it off.
Right now, we're more accustomed to life as a family of four in our "home" so we're super excited to explore more of German culture through the eyes of the kids.
