This statement is older than I am...how did that happen??! My #1 basic belief is that social-emotional development is the key: "people" needs must be met before all that "doing stuff" stuff that must be done.
Toolbox: standard “stuff” stuff--sixsigma, statistical process control, lean, root cause preventive and corrective action. “People” interventions are mostly motivation theory, group dynamics, leadership, and principles of engagement. Specific areas of advocacy: environmental and climate issues; social and political reform; education improvement; and my #1 driver--giving our kiddos every opportunity to grow into well adjusted big people who “may” be able to lead a highly satisfying life.
