Bio
Craig A. Stevens, PMP, CC (www.craigastevens.com) is the author of the Geronimo Stone (www.geronimostone.com) series and the Linked Management Models, which include (1) The Seven Attributes of Excellent Management, (2) The Storms of Chaos and Strategy, (3) The Five Elements of the Drivers of Change, (4) Portfolio Selection and Systems Thinking, and (5) The Three Phases of Implementing Change. Craig often speaks on organizational and technological change management and implementation. He is also an accomplished artist in oils and acrylics.
Craig first started as a Program Manager for SAIC in 1986 and has developed and worked with Configuration Management Offices (CMO) and Program Management Offices (PMO). He is the Director of Nashville Chapter of PMI’s Special Interest Groups (SIG) which includes the PMO Local Interest Group (LIG), The IT/IS LIG, Healthcare LIG, and Soon to be Manufacturing LIG and is the VP of Education for the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA).
He has spent over twenty-five years consulting for over 100 different organizations in 25 states. He has worked in highly technical and competitive environments, both for commercial and government clients (including NASA, DOD, and DOE). He has worked with every level of management and labor in a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, higher education, insurance, research and development, waste management and environmental restoration, construction, governmental organizations, the restaurant/hotel/motel industry and international business and product design.
Mr. Stevens is a co-founder of Westbrook Stevens LLC ((WBS), a woman owned small business www.westbrookstevens.com) and Innovative Resources and Systems ((IRaS), a Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business) and Chief Operations Officer for Ultimate Earth, Inc. (a manufacturing company in concept phase).
He served on faculty for Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Trevecca Nazarene University, The University of Phoenix, The American Management Association, Padgett-Thompson, Nashville State Tech, and as a TA for The University of Tennessee Knoxville. During this time, he taught undergraduate/graduate classes and corporate workshops in Innovation and R&D, PM, Program Management, IT/IS PM, Change Management, Manufacturing Management, Implementation of Strategy, General Management Principles, Systems Thinking, Systems Management, Statistics, Customer Service, CPM and PERT, Engineering Economy, and Human Factors Engineering.
Craig worked on his PhD in, Engineering Management/Industrial and Systems Engineering at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. He hopes to finish his PhD at the University of Tennessee Space Institute. Mr.
