Bio
I am a 51 year old professional woman with no previous mental illness who had a psychotic break (nervous breakdown) in May 2008. My delusions included believing that I was a Mermaid named Pangea, as well as having ESP. I was involuntarily committed to a mental hospital for three weeks, diagnosed bipolar with psychotic tendencies. Medicated since late May 2008, I've been working through my life changes with the assistance of my psychiatrist and counselor. My target audience is family and friends of people with bipolar illness. I hope to help them understand the viewpoint and perspective of a mentally ill person.
