Bio
Thank you for taking the time to listen to me ramble on about myself.
I am an artist trained in many fields and mediums such as Traditional (Oil, Acrylic), Sculpting, Digital (2D, 3D, Textures, Illustration...). I started exclusively as a digital artist, from as early as 1992 and on, and have been dedicated to improving my skills in this area since. From the start my end goal was 3D video game art and have spent a large portion of my craft on that. The game industry has always been my first love and am proud to see what we've accomplished since the days when it was actually considered a throw away fad.
Within the last few years I have begun branching out from digital and have been working in traditional mediums. It has given me a better sense of how to better interpret the world digitally and I have found a great satisfaction in creating a 'one-off' thing I can't backup and copy. You can never learn to truly appreciate a thing until you get a sense of its frailty, those moments when you have to decide whether to take a chance and run with something that has the potential to either ruin or enhance your original vision are exhilarating.
In a less professional; more personal sense, I am also a musician and amateur fiction writer. I have played guitar and composed music for 20 or so years. Around the same time that I decided games were in my future, I made a commitment to learn as much about all the art-forms that go into a game as I can, naturally music was one of them.
Personally, I like to think I am an entertaining man to say the least, I'm a self proclaimed eccentric, lover (snob) of finely crafted ales, lover of nerd culture and 80's cartoons, but above all a consummate professional, I take pride in my work, I take pride that I take pride.... you get the idea.
