Bio
Daniel I. Pedreira was born in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Political Science from Florida International University. Daniel received a Master’s degree in Peace Operations from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Miami.
Since 2003, Daniel has devoted his time to researching and studying Cuba’s political history, focusing on the republican era (1902-1959). His historical and contemporary articles have been published in several U.S. newspapers. Currently, he writes a weekly column for Libre newspaper titled “Cuba in its historic images.” Daniel is also a member of the PEN Club of Cuban Writers in Exile and the Miami Buena Vista Biltmore Lions Club. In 2013 he published his first book, El Último Constituyente: El desarrollo político de Emilio “Millo” Ochoa (Aduana Vieja).
