Bio
Damian Major is a name synonymous with hot music. From Cielo in NYC, to Shore Club in Miami, from DNA in San Francisco, to Lizard Lounge in San Antonio, Major is the one making people move. On the decks he’s been in front of every type of crowd imaginable. As a producer, his magic touch can be heard on projects including everything from Maniacalm’s #5 Billboard smash “Never Forget You” to Miss Eighty6’s “We’re Thru” and “Came to Party”.
When he's not on tour or in the studio, Damian is a fixture in the cutting edge New York nightlife scene at night, holding down residencies in the ultra hip and chic clubs of downtown.
He spent three years as Master Instructor at NYC's Scratch DJ Academy (founded by the late Jam Master Jay of pioneer hip hop group Run DMC). During that time he performed with major tours like Lollapalooza and Truth, djing in stadiums in more than 40 cities across America.
Major is enjoying success in the electro and dance world with his production of Maniacalm’s newest single “Miss You” on radio across the country and his recent remix of B.o.B.’s “Nothing on You” proving to be a Youtube favorite. He’s getting his share of hip hop success as well, with spins on NYC's biggest radio station, Hot 97, as well as Sirius and XM radio for his work with hip hop group Dipset on "Real O.G.". and recent productions with top ten Billboard group Tomorrowz Weaponz making waves in the urban market. And it's not just radio that he's conquering, he’s also signed a publishing deal with esteemed Hollywood music super- visor David Jordan of Format Entertainment. Within weeks of signing he licensed songs to Warner Bros Network for their smash show 'Gossip Girl' as well as landing songs on prime time shows on ABC networks.
On the decks, Major is the epitome of a party rocking DJ and in the studio he’s a wiz who can turn a simple idea into magic. With youth, drive and talent on his side, 2011 promises to be an amazing year for Damian Major.
