Bio
I'm a 57-year-old journalist turned journalism professor who has self published two books. The first detailed my then nearly 25-year writing career though stories including encounters with Robert Redford and Jerry Springer and emotional columns about parenthood and the cancer deaths of beloved friends and family members. The book, "Blow by Blow: a Quarter Century of Voices from my Notebook," will make you laugh, cringe and cry.
I have a wife of 31 years, Tania, and two amazing daughters; Kirsti, 26, and Sarah, 23.
I rose through the ranks from cub reporter in 1990 to assistant city editor of The Post-Star before returning to school to get my master's degree and begin a teaching career in 2005 at my alma mater, Castleton State College in Vermont - now renamed Vermont State University at Castleton.
I love writing and making people feel what I'm feeling.
