Bio
I know of no situation other than backpacking where it is socially acceptable to announce to someone you've only just met that you're experiencing a bout of diarrhoea.
"Is this this seat taken? No, great. I'm Lars, from Stockholm, I've been travelling for 9 months, never paid more than $3 for a room and my stools have been runny for a week now. What about you?"
Actual event.
I definitely work to live, but luckily my work can be quite interesting so that definitely takes the edge off. A TV producer based in London, I get to meet some fascinating people (the real ones; celebrities are usually dull) and visit some amazing places.
But as soon as that contract ends you don't see me for dust. On goes the backpack and off I trot.
I wouldn't change any of my travel experiences for the world - even the truly awful ones.
