Bio
I'm a populist in northern PA who is taking in the changing scenery of America. While I have been active in the progressive movement for fifteen years, I continue to allow my perspective-and identity-to evolve. Perhaps the biggest threat to our country right now is the increasing rigid, either-or thinking of movement people on both the Left and the Right. There is no better evidence of this than the increasing hostility between these two camps. I believe we need a common purpose and vision in order to bring us together. If we do not achieve unity, we will continue to see our country regress. It is my hope that blogging on the issues in a manner that attempts to both challenge and validate different perspectives will inspire others to do the same. We must try to overcome our own rigid biases while encouraging others to be open to challenge. While I must certainly admit that I will be blogging with my own leftist bias, I continue to try and stand back from all the commotion and reflect on issues in a (hopefully) objective fashion. If this blog encourages even one person to think more independently, then it will have served a purpose.
