Hello everyone. Myself Sumana , a happy housewife who loves to cook and bake for family and friends. I started cooking only after my marriage. My knowledge about cooking was limited to switching off pressure cooker after 3 whistles, making coffee (which I made occasionally ;) )a simple rasam and masala for sambar. But after marrigae, when I had to cook, the result were many uncooked upma, sticky neer dosa and so on!!!! It took time to get used to the basic science and common sense to get the right one...
I am lucky to have a foodie in my home ( my husband) and my friends who supported me throughout!!! During my initial days it was constant call to my mother and some food blogs which helped me. But you cannot just go and make something which you saw in blog !!! Food what we prepare should be according to our taste buds.
This blog is for saving the recipes which I try and to help my friends who want to learn some dishes from Udupi, Mangaluru ..majority of the recipes would be easy and simple.. you can even find many Havyek Brahmin recipes...Though I make south and north Indian cuisines, my favourite is Udupi rasam, a dollop of ghee, urad dal papad and a glass full of masala buttermilk... devine!!!!!
