Bio
I’ve been writing all my working life. Initially it was science writing, mostly astronomy, for two major planetariums and a nationally syndicated news service. Later it was sermons, homilies, and Bible studies. These days it’s mostly long and short fiction. Much of it is drawn from the lives and faith of the people I’ve served as a pastor and love to this day.
Together with my wife of more than fifty years, artist Diana Barclay Knapp, I’m discovering just how busy one can be in retirement. We make our home in Creedmoor, North Carolina, where in addition to the daily hours I spend in my study and she in her studio, we seem to be running constantly to stay involved with our six children and eleven grandchildren—all of whom are living their own stories, and hoping we’ll take the time to listen.
