Bio
I am a tenacious and passionate global licensing and branding executive who enjoys solving the puzzle. I believe the key to successful international licensing in media and consumer products is the ability to identify core brand equities, understand international marketplace realities and accurately translate one to the other.
I've been successful by working strategy backwards and forwards, with a 360 degree view at all times, always keeping the integrity of the brand and the global, regional, and local consumer in the forefront of my mind. I have been recognized for being a collaborative leader, having the ability to think on my feet, crafting creative win-win partnerships and getting the job done.
Over the past 12 years, I have served as an individual contributor and manager of cross-functional teams with P&L responsibility of up to $100 million U.S. Having experience in most of the functions related to licensing- legal, finance, creative, sales, marketing, PR and logistics has been a great benefit in navigating different internal processes and protocols. As a sales and marketing executive, I've been exceptionally successful at building long-standing rapport with a global network of clients- licensors, manufacturers, retailers and marketers.
Part of my passion comes from the simple fact that I'm working on the things that I most enjoy. I grew up studying art in the most diverse neighborhood on Earth; fine arts and international cultures have been the two biggest influences in my life. I spend most of my free time investigating various aspect of the two- travel, language, sports, arts, popular culture, pro-social initiatives, even local TV commercials.
I've been very happy consulting for the last few years, but I am now looking to return to a long-term, team-based environment, preferably in a global role for a great brand/portfolio. I'm also open to relocation, internationally or within the U.S.
