Bio
Born and raised in Queens, New York, I am a professional actor, multi-genre writer, musician, producer and content creator. I have performed extensively in television, stage, film and radio.
I wrote the feature film, Buds for Life, which was distributed to video in 2008. I also wrote, co-produced and starred in the short films Wedding (available on Amazon Prime), The Two Professors, Star Wars: The Mission, Guns in the Posters, The Date, The Forum and the proof-of-concept short, Orpheus Star.
My articles and blogs have been published on The Huffington Post (huffingtonpost.com/author/donn-swaby) and donnswaby.wordpress.com. My feature length articles, restaurant and music reviews have been published in meltmagazineforwomen.com and entertainmentvoice.com.
My self-published children’s picture book, You’re Everything Everywhere All the Time, is available on amazon.com.
My debut picture book, It'll Be Irie, arrives July 1, 2023.
My web series, The VBB (a show about the culture and lifestyle of the Venice Beach Boardwalk), can be seen on my You Tube channel (@thevbb) and heard in audio format on Soul Rebel Radio, Fridays from 7-8 PM on KPFK (90.7 FM) in Los Angeles.
