Bio
I am retired of a 35 year career with the petroleum refining industry. Attending outdoor cultural activities that feature Louisiana Creole lifestyle, is a favored activity. Springtime in Louisiana presents a wealth of opportunities to study our culture. It is also the time of choice for presentations that define our culture.
We are currently focused on studies of Afro-Caribbean culture and it's relationship to Louisiana Creole culture. To date, information has been gathered from personal interviews and documents with the people of Cuba, Hispanola (Haiti and Dominican Republic), St Martin, Martinique, St Kitts, Nevis, Dominica, St Lucia, Roatan, Utilla, the eastern coastal regions of Honduras, Barbados, Curacao and Tobago.
My passion for Creole culture drives me to write of it in terms of a native son. My formative years were effected in Acadiana, however, employment opportunities required relocation to New Orleans in 1980. I am domiciled in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, La. As a result, my passion for my culture is easily satisfied.
