Prior to her clinical career, she worked as an administrative assistant in the Marketing Department of Intercontinental Hotels, as a Market Analyst at Star Micronics, a Japanese computer-printer company, as the Marketing Manager at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, a “Big Eight” accounting firm, and as a Senior Account Executive in a handful of Manhattan-based Public Relations agencies.
She graduated from New York University with a degree in Social Work in 1992 and holds an MBA in Marketing from Baruch College.
Self-taught in the discipline of Internet marketing, her website, www.sextreatment.com, has garnered the first page of Google and, for some keywords, her site has captured the number one position on the first page of Google. Her sex addiction blog, Sex Addiction Therapy Blog is also usually seen on Google’s first page together with her website.
In May of 2012, Ms. Hayden started writing for a new blog targeted to those addicted to Internet pornography. To date, 6500 individuals have read the blog, Porn-No-More
Since it’s inception, the blog has generated over 350 responses from people struggling with Internet porn addiction.

3 good day ms. hayden..this is ralph from the philippines. nursing student.and ive been working on psych movie project which tackles about sexual disorders… could you help me about the treatment for sexually pre occupied, sadism, and fetishism or paraphilias? or is there any cure? how could a patient overcome this disorder? how could you interact with this kind of patient? In short, what are those management including pharmacologic, nursing management, therapeutic… i really dont have any idea how to deal with it… thank you and godbless…

You deal with it…patiently and with a desire to undersand the entirety of you. Sexual “deviance” is often a trying to undo something that occurred long ago.
I understand you don’t feel that there’s any hope. You can’t even begin to understand how I would deal with you. That’s the dreaded shame rearing it’s ugly head. It would have to be worked through in treatment.
