Bio
I am a hospice chaplain, and a social worker, offering life coaching and spiritual direction.
I was reared in the United Methodist Church. I became a Unitarian Universalist in 2005. I graduated from Boston University School of Theology in 1976 and was ordained in the Central PA Conference and served in a variety of positions.
I was employed as a caseworker, supervisor, program director, assistant administrator and training director in Tioga County (PA) Human Services Agency from 1978 to 1998.
I am a SoulCollage practitioner and facilitator, who will display my cards in the photo gallery and comment on them as I post them.
I am a life coach, providing coaching support via the telephone.
I am partnered with Kay, for 33 years. She has dementia and I am her primary caregiver, and will write about our experiences on this blog.
We are the "people" of Lizzie, a delightful almost eight year old Shih Tzu. NO matter whether I've been gone 5 minutes or 5 hours, the welcome is as esthusiastic and unconditional. After 5 days, she might play hard-to-get for a few minutes, registering her displeasure about not being taken along wherever I went.
My younger sister, Sally, is living with breat cancer that has spread to a number of sites in her body after a mastectomy and radiation. I will likely comment about her journey, as well.
I love nature, reading/learning, photography, food, cooking, friends, conversation, traveling, house hunting (for the perfect home!), stones, mysticism, collaging, teaching, and recycling possessions to those who may enjoy what I am finished using.
