Bio
Nigerian born and Yorkshire bred, Dr Helen graduated with a degree in both Sport and Exercise Science (University of Leeds) and Medicine (Hull-York Medical School). In 2008 whilst studying medicine she was crowned Miss Black Britain and went on to compete in the Miss England finals as Miss York in 2009. Now a qualified GP, the glamorous days of beauty pageantry and modelling are behind her as she pursues a career in healthcare and TV.
Dr Helen, now aged 30, has returned home to Yorkshire where she splits her working week between a sexual and contraceptive clinic, and a GP surgery. Alongside her medical career Dr Helen is a keen blogger and TV presenter. In her most recent project she consulted as Health Expert for Channel 5’s ‘Police 5’, a prime time crime awareness show, in an episode about drink driving awareness and alcohol.
