Bio
Genealogy never caught much of my attention while I worked my way through a career in automotive management. After 30 years in retail and another 4 in consulting and training, I've spent another 4 years recruiting management staff for new car dealers. Since I no longer own the agency, I have completed my transition from casual family researcher to professional genealogist.
I've been conducting family research at some level for about 25 years. For the past 15, I've been conducting contract research for clients and conducting classes such as "Introduction to Genealogy and Family Research". I've presented to a variety of local and regional organizations and have been a volunteer at The Family History Center of the Museum of Springfield History in Springfield, MA. I am on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Society of Genealogists and have memberships in many genealogy related societies and associations such as the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and its New England chapter NEAPG where I was the President during 2015.
With nearly 50,000 "close" relatives in my own data base, distant cousins from around the country who are also researching family, are able get in touch with me for assistance or corrections in what I've published.
My web site is www.oldbones.info and my blog is at www.oldbonessearch.com. Please take look!
