Bio
Hello everyone! My name is Gavin Gao and I'm currently a third year student studying Biology at the University of British Columbia. From a young age I was fascinated by the way the world around us worked, from ecosystems and the biosphere to individual processes that control enzyme release in cells. Although I don't know what I want to do in the future, I know that I'm on a path to realizing something great!
In my free time, I'm a member of the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and Vice-President of Communications and Outreach for UBC's chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH). Oh also, I love food.
I think food is a way for people to bond, whether it's getting to know someone at a party or sitting on a terrace engaging in deep conversations, I feel like many of our everyday interpersonal interactions are fuelled by food! I hope that through this project I am able to share my love for food with all of you.
