Bio
I am the President of the Global eLearning Community (GEC), a virtual professional association for anyone whose work encompasses culture, adult learning, and technology. Members include instructional designers, trainers, interculturalists, translation and localization companies, etc.
I am also a consultant (Global Learning Strategist) for eWorld Learning, Inc. I specialize in culturally appropriate instructional design. This means that I create or revise training courses (classroom or online) to align with the cultural characteristics and preferences of learners in other countries. I adapt content, instructional methods, and technologies so that all learners can achieve the desired outcomes with the same amount of effort and time.
