Bio
Welcome, I’m Eduardo and I’m a music composer. I have a BA and PgD in music production from the Brazilian Conservatory of Music. I’m surrounded by art and nature, living with a visual artist (my girlfriend) and our dog Wine on the beautiful coast of Rio. Photography is one of my hobbies.
I grew up playing fast guitar solos and lots of rock n’ roll in a band called Atom Pop. In my twenties, I fell in love with the numerous Brazilian regionalisms and started collecting instruments, such as 10-string viola, bamboo flutes, berimbau, marimbau, and lots of handmade percussion.
I always feel like a happy child when composing for the screen, and in the past 10 years I’ve worked on various projects for games, films and TV. Nowadays I’m a freelancer, but I’ve been an assistant to an industry veteran and an in-house composer for two music production companies (Studio Beat and Nova Onda).
I’m very mindful of sound textures and how they relate to key visual elements that will trigger specific emotions in the audience. My goal is to overcome the separation between music and visuals, culminating in a unified original work of art.
