ANNIE EGAN- Mrs. Egan attended the UNIBE University (Universidad Iberoamericana) where she studied Tourism; although Mrs. Egan did not complete her degree, she saw a good opportunity to study abroad in Ireland and took it, there she studied in CERT where she completed a tourism and front office course which qualified her in Europe to work in the tourism industry; prior to college Mrs. Egan also graduated as a member of ADAVIT (Association of Travel Agents Dominican Republic), she also headed the Groups Department in DS VOYAGES a French Travel Agency who specialises in Educational Groups and Tourists from France, Martinique, Guadalupe. Mrs. Egan coordinated large groups and was responsible of the smooth running of their stay in the country, working closely with Mrs. Denise Reyes (currently President of the National Hotels & Travel Agents Association OPETUR) Mrs. Egan learned from a young age the importance of customer satisfaction and proper planning.
After leaving DS Voyages, Mrs. Egan worked with the Canadian Embassy of Santo Domingo acting as Inventory Official, performing duties such as keeping account of all Consulate officials private residence, Ambassadors Residence and the Embassy itself and assisting in the change of tenure from the exiting Ambassador to the New Ambassador.
Mrs. Egan also joined ePayLatina (known today as Freestar Technologies Corporation www.freestartech.com ) where she met Mr. Paul Egan (one of the principals of Egan Properties), in her role Mrs. Egan was involved as an Investment Relations Officer for the companies US based investors, she heavily marketed the companies products and elevated their public profile in the Dominican Republic.
In Ireland, she joined groups such as the Marriott Chain and Jurys Doyle (Burlington), but her increasing interest in property made her join Bohan Property Consultants as an Administrator to learn more about the Irish market. Mrs. Egan also worked with the Bray Chamber of Commerce to design, develop and sell their 2006 Directory Edition, through Chamber Promotions. With the help of Mr. Egan, she founded Egan Overseas Properties Ltd., the only firm solely dedicated to sales in the Dominican Republic. Mrs. Egan is now a very well respected member of the Wicklow business community and she works with several major investment firms scouting land in the DR and providing consultancy services to her European and American based clients.
Mrs. Egan is currently working on an non official capacity with the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism to advise and create awareness on the Dominican Republic.
