Bio
Elizabeth C. Creely is a fourth-generation Californian. Her work has appeared in journals and anthologies such as The New Hibernia Journal, The Dogwood Journal, and the Mississippi Review. Her piece "Daire Nua: the new oak grove" appeared in two anthologies: "Extended Family: Essays on Being Irish American" from the New Hibernia Review, in April 2013 and "New California Writing 2013", published by Heyday Press.
"The Seedbank of Mount Sutro", her account of California's historic and controversial eucalyptus plantations appeared in The Fourth River. "Into the Woods", a story of camping and cow herding in the Sierra appeared in the Catamaran Literary Reader. She is a public speaker and local historian who works with the Irish American Crossroads festival.
She and her husband live in San Francisco.
Dinnshenchas is an Irish word that means the "story of the place".
