Bio
Ende Collective was started by entrepreneur and artist, Krista Anne Gambrel. The name Ende was picked up while Gambrel was studying art history at San Jose State University. Ende was noted as being one of the first female artists to sign her artwork in the 9th century. It was typically uncommon for females to claim their work and at this time the work being done was mostly manuscripts for religious purposes. Gambrel felt a strong connection with what the name represented as a female and mostly an artist.
Gambrel started Ende Collective in 2010 as a means to implement positive change within society through art. Ende Collective consists of a network of artists, musicians, writers, philosophers and creators who, through working together, provide their community with meaningful and powerful works of art.
