Bio
Montana sheep rancher, Erik Heen, moved to Houston, Texas at age 35 and became a federal investigator. Erik recently quit the rat race to pursue a career in writing, and after being named Fanstory.com’s “Short Works Writer of the Year” in 2011, he became a contributing writer for Mensa magazine. Erik is a frequent guest and occasional host on the KPFT radio program, “So What’s Your Story” in Houston. He has competed in ten of the Moth organization’s Story Slam competitions, winning five of them, including a victory in the Grand Slam Finals in 2018.
