Bio

When I was under a year old my father went to prison for attempted murder. I found out at 16 that he did it purposefully and was hired to do so, after previously thinking he accidentally shot a woman in a parking lot. At 17 I met the woman he shot through a mediation set up by the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department. At 21, she and I went on Oprah and I didn’t talk to my father again for over a decade. At 32, I began to write him again. At 33 I found out he may be getting out of prison in less than two years even though he is serving three life sentences. This is my story. Then, now, and everything in between.
