Bio
This blog has been created so that we can share our experiences and thoughts while we travel the world for a year (maybe more). We plan on writing about events, our travels, products, people, music, art, and whatever else comes across as interesting.
Matt: I am a 24 year old Business Student graduate with a degree in Business. I have spent the past 2 years working in a business environment and have decided to experience the world while I can. I have a passion for music, especially of the electronic/dance variety. I am sports oriented and have been heavily involved with many sports since the age of 5. My personality is one that I like to experience as many new things as possible and to be able to tell others about them. I have spent close to one year traveling throughout Europe and have traveled throughout Western Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Cuba. This blog will be updated as often as I can, I hope you find the content useful and interesting....
Mikki:So… The trip of a lifetime??? Yes, yes I think it is! My names, Mikki, I’m from Australia down South in Melbourne NOT Sydney and I am also (nearly) 24 years old (8 September just so you know)
I have been living in Kelowna, Canada for the last 6 or so months and loving it! I was initially here on exchange 2 and abit years ago, which is where I met Mr M. Field. He was a big shot RA (Resident Advisor) at Student Housing, Okanagan College and I was the innocent exchange student from Aussie land down under. We hit it off and became the bestest of friends, destined to live happily ever after, well until I busted my ACL in my left leg and had to jet home for two surgeries and twelve months of rehab. Sucked! Worst ever! All I wanted to do was come back! Big White was my local, Silverstar has since stolen that name tag but both mountains “cane” our white slush and ice back home (respect to Mt Buller, but you know its true!)
Anyhoo… I came back in August last year after traveling the United States for a month with my best American buddy, Brit and took residence in the Pandosy Inn, the local hot spot downtown on the Lake Okanagan. Not really. It was a hole, with one bedroom and my newly found housemate (a fellow exchange student from Pakenham, Jess Bedford) was on the fold out queen couch which had nasty sag in the middle and no privacy… Oh well, I found the place1 haha.. My bad.
