Bio
I am a journalist living near Seville, in Spain, and I write freelance articles about the city, its hotels, restaurants, religion and culture, and living abroad as an expat working mother. I am married to a Spaniard and have two bilingual children. I'm still trying to get to know the rest of Andalucia, but as it's such a huge region, it's an ongoing project!
Publications and websites I have contributed to recently include the Sunday Times, the Guardian, Conde Nast Traveller, concierge.com and The Catholic Herald.
I'm also consultant editor of www.andalucia.com, Andalucia's most-visited English-language website, for whom I write a twice-weekly blog.
As well as writing, I do translations and teach English to private students.
Before coming to Seville in 2003, I worked as a journalist in London for over 10 years, writing and editing magazines for blue-chip clients such as Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Diners Club and Orange. Subjects I covered ranged from celebrity chefs and colourful entrepreneurs to European design cities, as well as many travel articles.
