Bio
For those of you who have looked up the meaning of "Fiosrach" and have come up empty handed, let me give you a clue - it's Gaelic, and as am I for that matter. There we are, a little in sight into my person! You might have also already guessed that I love to bake, yes, pastry is my passion. Along with sweets, chocolate, and anything having to do with desserts - or breakfast! If I could I might just live off breakfast and baking, but studies show that REALLY isn't the way to go - something about diabetes, clogged arteries and a significantly shortened life span (all of which I'm going to try to stay way from!), so fruit and veggies come close seconds to all that glorious sweetness that is baking!
I also love design, anything with individual style, anything modern, crafty, stream-lined, minimalistic and sophisticated, though kitschy or kooky thrown in gives a nice balance. Photography, textiles, typography, interiors, industrial, architectural, clothing, products, layout, magazines, graphics, books... essentially anything related to design, I go crazy over - even things you wouldn't find typically design oriented, I take pleasure in simple things like a line, or a colour... but I'm just being neurotic.
You might have also noticed the way I spell words, like colour,
properly (check off sense of humour - hey look another strange spelling, where did that 'u' come from?). Yes, I'm also a Canadian, and proud of it! Though my greatest desire is to travel the world, and in the end leave this beautiful place - but for now, this is home and I wouldn't have it any other way!
On top of spelling properly (for the most part) I have an incredible sense of punctuation and grammar... well, scratch that - just sarcasm! In fact you would be hard pressed to find someone with worse grammatical skills than myself, but that is why I love baking - there is no need for proper punctuation whatsoever!
There we are me in a tiny, sporadic and dense nutshell, a bit all over the place, a bit bizarre, but truly and utterly sincere and passionate!
