Bio
Hello, my name is Shirley Farash and I am a certified personal trainer ,spinning instructor and group classes instructor .I always had a passion for fitness and was fascinated about the way our body works ,and how much strength it can hold .I've been a trainer for 25 years and throughout my career I had the privilege to work with an amazing group of people. My clients let me in to their homes , their lives and their cabinets, in order to learn a new way of life .
Fitness is a journey ,not only physically but most of all mentally.
Along the years we create for ourselves habits good and bad, that effect our lives in many ways. If it started in our youth when we didn't care much about the way we looked or functioned...when we faced stressful situations and found ourselves turning to food for comfort ..comments and judgments by others that made us lose our self love and confidence...trauma that made us built walls so high to separate us from the world. we grew to believe that there is no other way but to live with this burden on our shoulders . with it we lose ourselves with the acceptance that this is our "normal". We create beautiful homes and raise a beautiful family , we take care of everything and everyone around but we forget about US!
we are so busy with life and we don't pause for a moment to breath and enjoy the moment .The decision of making a change in our lives usually followed by something we had to deal with and through it we found our strength.
14 years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease. I struggled with fatigue, depression, brain fog, weight gain, joint stiffness, puffy eyes, and sensitivity to cold (just to name few). Being a trainer who needs to lift everyone up and motivate others was a hard task to do when I couldn't really help myself. I had to do my own research about different diets and what food is better than others for us ...what kind of workouts are really beneficial and how much of it we need to do . I've learned that the presumption of doing hours of cardio at the gym and cutting down to 1000 calories a day is so wrong and can really harm you in many ways ,and not necessarily will bring you the results you are looking for .
I want to believe that my situation has a purpose and things happen to us for a reason in order to make us grow . Today I know that in order to make any change in our lives we need to change the way we think first . letting our fears go and opening our minds to new possibilities . Every day we get another chance to do better, and There's no limits to what we can do if we truly believe in ourselves .
I am here to teach what I've learned through the years from my own experiences and from my extraordinary clients and friends who took the decision to try ...and gained so much beyond the physical transformation.
